Meet Dr. Ito

Dr. Ito is one of the orthodontists at Girgis & Ito Orthodontics. He helps kids, teens, and adults achieve healthy, straight teeth. He is very kind and patient and wants every patient to feel happy and comfortable during treatment. Dr. Ito believes everyone deserves a healthy bite and a smile they can be proud of.

Education and Training

Dr. Ito studied for many years to become an orthodontist in Woodridge, IL. Here is a simple list of where he studied:

Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Midwestern University in Illinois—he graduated as valedictorian (top of his class)
Master of Science and Certificate in Orthodontics from Marquette University School of Dentistry

While in dental school, he received the Dean’s Award for highest grades and was also invited into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. During his orthodontics residency at Marquette University, he was given the Deerwood Endowed Orthodontics Scholarship and received awards for his research on how vibration therapy can help in orthodontic treatments.

Dr. Ito is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, which means he passed very difficult exams to prove he has advanced skills in orthodontics.

Even after finishing school, Dr. Ito continues to learn more to help his patients better. He attends many classes and meetings every year. Some topics he has learned about recently include

Dr. Ito's Life Outside the Clinic

Dr. Ito grew up in Naperville, Illinois, and went to Waubonsie Valley High School. He met his wife, Ashley, while studying dentistry at Midwestern University. They later moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, when Dr. Ito started his orthodontic residency at Marquette University. After that, he worked in Rockford, Illinois, before finding a home in Woodridge, Illinois.

Dr. Ito and his wife are excited to start a family in Woodridge.

In his free time, Dr. Ito enjoys
